Environmental testing

In addition to testing optical properties and mechanical stresses, all coatings developed by Opcos AG are tested for environmental stability in accordance with the current ISO standards. Standard-compliant test stations and appropriately calibrated climate chambers are available.

The following lists Opcos' internal standard test procedures, which are used for every layer development, unless otherwise specified:

  • Abrasion resistance according to ISO 9211-4-01-03

  • Adhesion strength according to ISO 9211-4-02-02

  • Resistance to dry heat according to ISO-9022-11-05-1

  • Resistance to moisture according to ISO-9022-12-07-1

  • Resistance to temperature changes according to ISO-9022-14-07-1

  • Solvent resistance according to ISO 9022-87-02

If the requirements for the respective application deviate from the standard test procedures, the parameters for the climatic tests can be adapted accordingly within the following limits:

  • TemperaturE: -70 °C … +180 °C

  • Humidity: 0 % r. F. … 95 % r. F.

Opcos AG also offers all test methods as a service for various components and assemblies.
